Budgeting

At our Butterfly Houses, one of the things that we work with our residents on is a personal budget. We help our residents build a savings account, while working on paying off any debts and managing their expenses. We hope that a strong financial foundation, will assist them when it is time for them to live on their own. With so many moving parts when it comes to budgeting, we try and revisit their budgets regularly. On our weekly resident calls in Westfield, our residents share with us their savings balance. One of our favorite things is to celebrate when residents join the “comma club!”

More than anything, we want our residents to be set up for success and to have the tools needed to build their future. Here’s to budgeting!
