A helping HAND
Recently, RJS had the opportunity to meet with HAND, Hamilton County Area Neighborhood Development.
In 2000, a group of Hamilton County residents concerned about housing needs in the county began a housing task force that aimed to improve the quality of life in Hamilton County by promoting housing preservation and neighborhood revitalization. It commissioned a Hamilton County Needs Assessment that identified a number of key strategies, including creating a local nonprofit housing development corporation to lead the charge. HAND was established as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization in 2003.
RJS strives to meet housing needs and has met with HAND before, but we were excited to reconnect, reintroduce ourselves and begin to have some great conversation! We were even able to share about our Butterfly Houses and our Scannell Lane project.
As a cute reminder of our time together, we were gifted these hands!
