All.the.tears…

During our executive director’s time in Indy, we were able to visit our friends at Brookside. Brookside is one of RJS’s oldest partners, as we have been partners since 2019. RJS partnered with Brookside to help open the first women’s Isaiah House.

While there, we heard from women who have been assisted by Brookside’s re-entry programming and that also live in the women’s Isaiah House, which RJS helped fund.

We were brought to tears hearing the stories and the healing that is taking place, not only with the participants, but also with the staff. What a beautiful testimony to what community can do.

Pastor Charles joined us towards the end and prayed a beautiful prayer over our executive director Cynthia- we felt as if he was storming the gates of Heaven. What a blessing!

One of our board members, Nadine, also joined us for this powerful, tear filled morning.
