Celebrating TEN YEARS!

We can hardly believe it, but RJS is celebrating TEN YEARS on July 15, 2025.

Robert and Cynthia Scannell founded RJS in 2015. It is amazing to look back and see all the ways RJS has made an impact in just a short period of time. For Robert and Cynthia, knowing that lives have been changed is the very heart of why they do what they do. Cynthia has shared that most people do not know the depth of Robert’s generous spirit and how she is so grateful God brought them together for such a purpose.

RJS has been a part of a variety of projects with our partners both locally and internationally. RJS started out with a home ownership program. RJS then slowly transitioned to having partners and started with just 2, and we now have 8 incredible partners! In 2017 we opened our first Butterfly House and opened our second in 2024. RJS has shifted and changed through the years to best meet needs as we learn and grow.

RJS prefers to be a “boots on the ground” organization and spends time with our partners as much as we can. You can often here us say, we are small but mighty!

When we look back over the last ten years, it can often take our breath away and we also know there is still so much to be done.
