Meet Family Promise

We loved this picture our partners over at Family Promise of Hendricks County share with this Helen Keller quote, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

They have been busy and recently shared two success stories.

First, it was to introduce David. David is a Veteran who served our country and went to Family Promise in hopes of receiving support to find a stable job and increase his income. David has experienced may hardships, including homelessness, but he never gave up. After working with our Family Pathways program coach, Brenda, David secured a job earning a living wage and just celebrated a three month milestone.

They also introduced us to Rose. Rose connected with Family Promise through a community connection event at the Wayne Township Adult Education Center, where our team had the opportunity to share about the resources and support available through Family Promise. After hearing about their employment coaching and support programming, Rosa enrolled and began working toward her goals by enrolling in ESL classes and working towards earning her GED. Rose also was interested in learning ASL and the team was able to help her identify resources. Rose recently celebrated six months at her new job. Through the help of Family Promise she was also able to secure affordable housing for her and her son.
