Transitional Housing

Recently the RJS team met with one of our partners, The O’Connor House, to hear about their strategic plan and their vision of providing more transitional housing to their program participants.

Our very own executive director, started out as a volunteer at the O’Connor House, then worked as a house manager and even served on their Board. It was there, that Cynthia saw the great need for transitional housing, especially for single mothers.

The O’Connor House recognizes that the journey to independence does not end when a mother leaves their residential program. That is the very reason why they are looking at launching this Transitional Housing Program- which they feel is a vital next step for the women they serve as they continue building stable, self sufficient lives for themselves and their children.

The O’Connor House celebrated 20 years in 2025.
