A Seat at the Table

We recently purchased two highchairs for our friends at Family Promise of Hendricks County.

They had put out an ask, as the highchairs were needed for the Almost Home shelter.

Family Promise shared that though these items seem simple, to their families they represent comfort, dignity and a sense of normalcy during a difficult time.

Meal time is an important part of family life, especially for little ones, and now their young residents have a safe and supportive place at the table.

It was noted that whether it is breakfast before daycare or dinner after a long day, these high chairs help bring a bit of structure and warmth to daily life in the shelter. It is just one more way they can make this space feel more like home.

We are in awe of the work Family Promise does day in and day out and this was just one small way we could further support their efforts.
