Brookside Love

Did you know that Brookside is one of RJS’s first major partners? The CDC is getting ready to celebrate 9 years of existence, though the church has been there for much longer. Brookside is a pillar in their community.

One of the things RJS enjoys doing is having lunches with the staff, those that serve day in and day out. It may seem like something small, but it is so impactful. It gives us a chance to have conversations and learn about how the organization is doing but also learn from and love on those that are doing the work.

With Brookside, a local restaurant was suggested, so RJS has been placing orders with NY Food Center near Brookside and providing lunch for their staff once a month. We love to learn (and laugh or even sing) with the staff and hope they feel appreciated and supported through these lunches.

Recently, during one of our lunches, we were gifted some Brookside swag- which we will wear and use proudly. We love our brothers and sisters at Brookside. The work they do for their brothers and sisters in the Brookside community is powerful.
