Behold, I am doing a new thing
Our partners at Brookside CDC recently held their celebration dinner. The verse they chose to focus on was Isaiah 43:19 NLT, “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
We were able to hear from staff and participants from Brookside CDC and also from Pastor Aaron Brockett from Traders Point Christian Church who challenged us to think about our own wilderness.
RJS was also thrilled to see them share about a new project called “Cynthia’s House” named after our founder and executive director, Cynthia. The house will be for women and children and we will be assisting them with furnishing the house from some of Cynthia’s actual items. We love that her legacy of love will continue.
Our friends at Brookside have been through a lot, but there is hope and we know He is doing a new thing. RJS is proud to have a front row seat to see the new growth and continued hope and restoration to the Brookside community.
