Global 6k

Jen and Angel were able to participate in World Vision’s Global 6k for clean water hosted at Northview Church in Carmel, IN. Each race bib had a face for someone you were racing for.

It was a beautiful day to walk the 6k course, which is the average distance often walked to access clean water.

World Vision shares that every day more than 1,000 children under 5 years of age die from disease caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices.

During this event, there were over 250 participants which raised just shy of $18,000 and those funds will provide clean water to 360 people around the world. Globally, for the 6k World Vision had over 20,000 racers bringing World Vision’s total to over 34,000 people.
